Remember how we always stress not to spend a dime on advertising and marketing when you can get it all for free? Well, not really all of it but most of it and yes, it takes time but spending money just cuts the timeline and speeds up the whole process. It’s great I know but where can an entrepreneur like you get the money for an advertising campaign? It’s hard to start from scratch isn’t it?

First off all, stop spending money on useless stuff that only give you temporary pleasure. Do you really need a PSP and a new watch? Think about how much money you spend on cigarettes and alcohol. It’s wise to give up on some desires now to have more of them later. A pack of Marlboro costs 3$ (where I live) and if you smoke pack a day…that’s around 90$/month. A hamburger at McDonald’s costs 1$ (where I live) and if you eat there every day (like some people I know, I used to be a McD addict)…that’s like 30$ - 90$/month. Now that’s something, it’s not extremly a lot but it’s more than you had before, it’s a start and this is where you build on.

Cancel all your monthly paid memberships because you don’t need them now. Stop playing WOW and EVE because it’s time to get serious. Right now your goal is to gain money, not spend it. Unsubscribe from any site, magazine or a MMOG for a period of three months and I guarantee you’ll notice a huge difference in your pocket. It’s little things that count because no membership costs 1000$ so you could just cut off that and be happy, instead you have ten 10$-20$ memberships that look innocent but they’re actually a huge money eater.

Garage sale? Do you have software, games or other physical stuff lying around you don’t need? It’s time to fire up Ebay. If there’s one place in this world where you can sell your stuff, it’s Ebay. If you can’t sell it there chances are you won’t be able to sell it at all. Perhaps you have some turnkey websites eating dust on your HDD? Why not try selling them on DigitalPoint? If you really want easy money, register a domain, throw some garbage on it and sell it on DP for 50$ within the same day. I don’t know why but people like to buy trash turnkey sites. Try it.

If you clean up your working environment every month like this, you’ll earn some pretty good money and you can spend it all on your marketing campaigns. If you plan to get serious with your website/blog I suggest you save a little and invest in your online propertly because sooner or later it will come back to you with an enormous interest.
