A lot of bloggers email me all the time asking how should they promote their blogs. I thought I wrote enough about the subject for you to have a clear picture of what direction should you follow but it’s always better to read it one more time than not at all. You’re all entrepreneurs, amateur bloggers like me so I suppose you don’t have millions of dollars for advertising campaigns. Most of you have few bucks to spend, perhaps a hundred dollar bill and that’s it. People always ask me what SHOULD they do and now I’m going to tell you what you SHOULDN’T do.

1. Sponsor a Wordpress theme
Never sponsor a Wordpress theme. Why? Well mostly because 90% of all big theme and skins websites said they won’t accept any theme that has sponsor links coded into the WP theme. Second, your link would probably be eating dust on the bottom since people almost never click sponsor links. So no traffic for you, it’s a waste of money.

2. Pay for a submission service
Not! If you hear a man saying he will manualy submit your blog to 10,000 blog directories for 4,99$ run like a mofo. It’s all scam and fraud, do you really think people manualy submit sites to directories? Well some of them do but it costs much more than five dollars, trust me. Submission services are a big waste of money. If you want to do it, do it right and do it yourself.

3. Buy blog comments
Did anyone offer you blog comments for a small fee? Pay them if you want to but prepare yourself to get kicked 300 miles away from Google. Boy I hate spammers! I get at least fifty comments every day spamming my blog with penises, pills, viagras and one-liners like “hello”, “interesting”, “nice blog, check mine”… Don’t do that for crying out loud!

4. Buy traffic
This is another great way to throw away your money. Don’t fall for the old targeted traffic trick, it’s not true. 99% of all resellers will set you up with bots and not actual human visitors so don’t expect clicks, subscriptions or comments on your blog. All you will achieve is a higher number of UV in your cPanel stats.

Don’t be stupid my friends, there’s no shortcut to fame and glory. Nobody has ever achieved anything without getting his hands dirty except drug dealers and credit card hackers, haha, well they usualy end up in jail so that’s not really an achievement. If you want your blog to be famous (don’t we all?), just work hard and be patient. I know you hear that all the time but I’m telling you this is the only whitehat way that works and that will get you somewhere.

However if you know a few tips in saving some moola, here and their , that is the prudent method in achieving your goals.
