Google is not as picky as everybody likes to say, I don’t know why people try to present Google as Satan. You would probably think you need to develop your site for months before you’re ready to apply for Google AdSense but that’s not true at all. You can make your site ready for AdSense in less than a week, you can set it up within a day. The trick is about the content. Google loves content and more content you have more chances you have to get approved by Google. Forget about sales and affiliates, focus on content. Once you get approved you can put your AdSense code whever you like.

- It’s not true that Google wants proffesionaly designed websites, your site can be average on design but try not to make it look like crap because that won’t work. Give your best shot and make a solid site with nice warm colors and few table here and there, just don’t make it look very amateurish.

- Google believes in content that’s why content is the most important thing when starting a website. Don’t apply for AdSense with a site with few pages of content, try to make at least 15 - 20 articles, preferably more. Like I said before, more content more chances you have to get approved.

- Most people say Google won’t accept you unless you have huge traffic. Sorry, not true. It won’t help if you have zero traffic so try to attract few visits here and there just so your site doesn’t looks like spam.

So, how do you start? Pick a free webhosing provider like Pandela or Freewebs and take some 20 articles from GoArticles and put them on your newly created website. Add a contact page and a forum (if you desire) and shorten your domain with ShortUrl. Before you apply, advertise your site on few forums just to get some visits and that’s it. You’re ready to get approved by Google AdSense.
