Is this Web 2.0 or what? I can’t believe how many different services pop up every day, I really can’t run out of topics. This time it’s a new kid on the block called BlogRush. BlogRush is a widget for your blog that displays RSS feeds of other people running the widget. Each time your widget is displayed you earn credits which you can spend on displaying your feeds on other people’s blogs. They also have referal system which mean more traffic for your blog. This is how it works:
Your Traffic = 1:1 1st Generation Of Referrals (Directly From You) = 1:1 2nd Generation Of Referrals (i.e. Jen in the video) = 1:1 3rd - 6th Generation Of Referrals = 1:4 7th - 10th Generation Of Referrals = 1:8
1:1 means you earn 1 syndication credit for every 1 impression of the widget by your own traffic or by any users located on the 1st (direct) or 2nd generations. 1:4 means you earn 1 syndication credit for every 4 impressions of the widget by any user located on the 3rd to 6th generations. 1:8 means you earn 1 syndication credit for every 8 impressions of the widget by any user located on the 7th to 10th generations.
Unlike other free services, BlogRush displays related content which mean targeted traffic for you but since it all started this weeked nobody knows for sure whether BlogRush works good or not, give it a few weeks and you’ll see. Until John Reese fixes the bug in the code, let me tell you about a little trick. Refresh your page a hundred times and you’ll get a hundred credits, sneaky isn’t it?
I don’t use BlogRush because it would mess up my layout but Jakob does and if you want to help him get some traffic to his blog, sign up under his referel link here: http://www.blogrush.com/r12887553.
I like the BlogRush idea but I am of the view that it has been rushed as its name seems to say.The guys behind this initiative should have spent some quality time working on it before creating all this buzz.As it is, its main beneficiaries will be guys who already receive lots of traffic to their blogs simply because the BlogRush referral system favours these guys.

I can already see John Chow filling up his ten level referal system as he is crazy about pyramid games.
But, as I’ve said, let it few weeks and we’ll all see what’s BlogRush about.
Check out for new flavors in the settings area of your blog rush account. Now you could match the widget to suit your theme.

Raj, BlogRush is still under construction. I don’t know how long will it take to finally update the system.
I recently developed a free wordpress plugin called “BlogRush Click Maximizer”. By using it you can vastly improve your Click Through Rate.
This allows you to control what you want to display in BlogRush. You can even write alternate - short and catchy title just for BlogRush.
You will have total control of what appears over the BlogRush Network.
